International Recruitment Consultant
As part of the Recruitment Division at Global Career Company, the role of the Recruiter is key to the business. Our MD describes us as the “bloodline of GCC”.
We are a uniquely interactive team and spend much of our time liaising with candidates and clients from all over the world, which requires a strong understanding of the region we work in. We also do quite a bit of international travel to support the activity we have spent months perfecting.
To start a typical day we would step into the office and be greeted with a mixture of, “Morning, Bonjour, Bom Dia and Ni Hau”. Not only are we the largest team, we are also the most diverse. We have the option to greet each other in 12 languages amongst our team alone!
Our core morning activity focuses on one of Global Career Company’s most successful recruitment initiatives, Recruitment Summits. These target Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe, and our main task is to liaise with clients regarding all aspects of the project we are currently working on.
The most interesting part is the selection process, which involves screening applications from our Candidate Management System and producing shortlists for the roles we are currently recruiting for.
On an ad-hoc basis we will also be involved in managing the more challenging Recruitment Campaigns. We are usually involved in all aspects of this activity, from the moment the client signs the contract and engages us to work for them, to selecting the right attraction channels and managing the application and shortlist process. Meetings and teleconferences usually take place throughout this time to make sure we provide the best possible candidates and deliver maximum return on investment for each client.
The position of a Recruiter at GCC is unlike like any other and we feel a sense of pride and satisfaction once every project has been successfully completed. As part of this close-knit team you will never work alone. Our first rate customer service encourages repeat business and maintain relationships with candidates who in the future will come back as our clients. There is a lot of gratitude given our way, which makes this job so worthwhile.
